Vodafone tweak price-plans for mobile phones

Vodafone have fiddled around with their price-plans in order to compete with the likes of 02, with their main focus being on data usage.

As reported by Pocket-lint, from today (October 1st), all new customers will be offered one of several new 24-month plans, which range all the way from £25 up to £60. But with decent handsets getting pushed out for the likes of £15, £20, it’s a little disappointing Vodafone haven’t gone any lower than £20 and the fact that anyone would fork out £60 per month is unbelievable.

So what do you get for your hard earned money?  Well,

For £25 you’ll get 100 minutes, 500 texts and 500MB of data,
For £30 it’s 300 minutes, unlimited texts and 500MB of data,
For £35 you’ll get 600 minutes,
£40 equals 900 minutes and 750MB of data,
£45 takes it up to 1200 minutes and £60 gets you 1GB of data to go with 3000 minutes.

Plus on all plans over £40 you’ll also get 5MB a day of European roaming and if you only fancy signing up for 18 months then add £5 to any of the prices quoted above. So you’ll be paying £30 a month for 100 minutes, 500 texts which is by no means great.

As you may have guessed it’s one of those ‘New customer’s only’ things and thus existing customers “will not be affected by the changes.”
